In my thesis I argue that in The Prelude the narrative or poetic voice and Wordsworth%s personal life are undoubtedly connected and intertwined. I show how even Wordsworth himself sees this relationship, with examples from all of the long poem%s books, and % despite the evident autobiographical elements % tries to convince the reader that he himself is not the protagonist. I show and explain how there are actually two main written characters: William Wordsworth and a second, fictional Wordsworth, who resembles the first one. In addition, I argue that The Prelude is not an actual autobiography. Overall, I show just how iconic William Wordsworth is for the Romantic era and what a true nature enthusiast he was. I end this thesis with some conclusions I made about the romantic nature and role of love in The Prelude and of William Wordsworth himself.

The power to witness effectively in these troubled times is the basis for this book in which Speaks challenges today's church to offer more than pep pills of personal piety, laxatives of racial tolerance, and the surgery of social revolution. Speaks dares the church to build temples of love on the dung hills of hate, to build a new community of brotherhood upon the shifting sands of racism, and to build a new society of peace upon the wastelands of human strife.

B.J. Hoff, one of CBA's premier writers brings this riveting historical fiction series that meticulously depicts nineteenth century America. Prelude transports you to nineteenth-century New York and invites you to step into another time--a time that shaped a nation and defined her faith. This lively story carries you from immigrant ships to opulent estates, from skating-rink evangelistic crusades to star-studded concert halls, and introducing you to men and women you'll grow to love: a brooding blind musician, his suspicious but sympathetic sister-in-law, an unlikely pair of medical partners, and a struggling immigrant family. Pulsing with romance and intrigue, shining with artistry and faith, Prelude sounds the opening notes of a tale with a voice as big as America.
